Team Britney

Let me start out by saying that even thought Britney Spears is known to be a little crazy and won't even be in the running for best mom award, I'm team Britney all the way.

Now that that is out of the way, her concert was amaaaazing! That chick can still put on a good show and even Blaine said "that wasn't too bad". The first "group" was Nervo. Two girls who are Australian DJ's that stood up there and mixed some songs. It was cool for about 5 minutes then I was totally over it. The next group was Jessie and the Toy Boys. Some chick who looked like a mini Lady Gaga with two guy back up dancers. Both of these groups had their bass up WAY too loud and were less than enjoyable. Nikki Minaj was next. I only know one of hers songs and turns out she is weeeeeird. Like weird weird, not oh cool that's original weird. She rap/sang a lot of covers and her dancers were very odd and kind of scary. After we got those groups out the way we had to wait 45 mins for Britney's stage to be set up. She played for about 2 hours and I loved it all. I would definitely go again. It helped that we had pretty great seats. We bought our tickets through Groupon because they were 50% off and were for the 300 level (highest level) and when we got there we were in the 200 club level (fancy level closer to the stage). I guess they didn't sell as many tickets so they just pushed everyone down to the next seating levels. Pretty. Great.

No, I didn't take those pictures, I took these pictures..

Next Friday is NKOTBSB and I am beyond stoked!

Wonderful Day

Saturday we had a completely wonderful day. We went to Bonneville Dam, got a dam tour and hiked up to Wahkeena Falls.

We've been to the dam several times but have never actually gotten the dam tour. The visitor center is still authentic from the 70's when it was built and there is rarely anyone even there. If you want a tour you have to schedule one and we never think about it until we are actually there. Yesterday there were probably 30 people in the visitor center so they had a couple tours. It was actually really interesting and I'm glad that we got stuck in traffic for 40 minutes otherwise we might not have gotten a tour.

After we left the dam we headed over towards Multnomah falls to see what other falls/steams we could explore. Multnomah falls is always SO SO busy and we've been there several times so we knew that we wanted to go somewhere new. I saw a nice stream and decided that we would just go there. When we got out of the car I told Blaine that it sounded like there was a water fall near by. Well right across the road was Wahkeena Falls. It was beautiful and surprisingly not busy at all. We hiked the short .2 miles to the viewing bridge and saw less then 20 people the whole time we were up there. It was nice to get pictures without a bunch of strangers in there too. After we hiked down, we walked back across the street to the stream that I first saw.

Not good at this

Yeah yeah yeah I'm majorly slacking on blogging. I will honestly and truly try harder to blog more.

A couple of weekends ago we went camping for the first time this year. It was the hottest that it's ever been when we've been camping. I love camping on the Oregon Coast. It's so beautiful and there is so much to do and see. I haven't even put pictures on my computer so I will post those soon. I PROMISE. This past weekend was spent getting things done like cleaning, transplanting my strawberry plant, trying out a small bakery downtown and going to some garage sales. I got 20 assorted Kerr, Ball and unmarked Mason jars for $2.50! We also got new sheets and a new shower curtain. Super exciting blog worthy stuff.

Today I took my car to emissions on my lunch break and it failed. I just need a new gas cap so it could be way worse but I still have to go back and show them that I got a new one then I can get my new tabs, that expire this weekend. And if my Washington State tabs are expiring you know what that means... I've lived here for over a year. Crazy right? It seems like a crazy long year but also a crazy fast year.

And possibly the most exciting news, I bought Britney Spears concert tickets! Woo! I'm living my '90s concert dreams this summer. The tickets were 50% off on Groupon one day so I couldn't pass them up. I'm not sure how I talked Blaine into going to NKOTBSB and Britney Spears concerts but it happened and I'm stoked. We are planning for my mom to come out in August and there is a Beach Boys concert that I want to go to. I also wanted to go to the Taylor Swift concert. This summer is going to be a busy one with Blaine's 25th birthday in less than two weeks, Britney Spears concert, camping for 4th of July, NKOTBSB concert, my 21st birthday, my mom visiting, more camping, etc etc :)
