Seattle

I was just going to get ready for bed but then I remembered that I said that I would post Seattle pictures.

Today we slept until 10:30, lazed around for awhile. went grocery shopping and lazed some more. We decided to go walk Molly then come back and clean a little but that didn't happen. When we got to Molly's house, Sue answered the door and said "I have a leak!". Her washing machine was over flowing and there was water everywhere. The laundry closet had a few inches of water in it, carpet was soaked all through the hallway and into another closet and bathroom. Blaine and I spent about three hours helping to get it as dry as we could until Sue could call the office tomorrow morning. We were so tired and thirsty after wards that Blaine and I went to Sonic and got some treats to drink.

Now for Seattle pictures. Last weekend we drove up to Seattle with Blaine's sister Enjelle on Saturday, spent the night, and went to Blaine's cousin's wedding on Sunday about 45 mins north of Seattle. We went to Pike's Market, the Space Needle and did the Underground Tour.
*Blogger is being really dumb about uploading pictures. These are all backwards and I tried to delete some/move some around but there are still duplicates even though I've deleted them so I apologize! I will try to work with it more tomorrow night and make it prettier*

Helloooooo

What? I have a blog? I almost forgot! I seriously don't feel like being on the computer at home after being on the computer all day at work. I'm so far behind on all of the blogs I read, my nails don't get painted as often as I'd like and I haven't done a craft in over a month. Blaine's friend Kenny is over and I got tired of the YouTube surfing that they're doing so I figured now would be a great time to blog.

WELL I know I haven't done an update in forever but there isn't that much that I do. I mean I'm never at home but I don't do anything that interesting. My days usually go something like this: work, make/eat dinner, go to the store if needed, go on a walk if it's nice, clean the house, take a shower, go to bed. Last Saturday we drove up to Seattle with Blaine's sister Enjelle, stayed the night and went to Blaine's cousins wedding on Sunday. The week leading up to our trip was spent finding clothes for Blaine and I to wear to the wedding. It included a trip to the mall, short stops at Ross/Marshalls, a run through Kohls, three target runs and a stop at DSW. I ended up wearing a dress/shoes from a target and a sweater I already had and Blaine wore khakis from target and a shirt from Nordstroms. I'll elaberate on our trip in a separate post with pictures.

This past week we really didn't do too much. Just work, grilled a lot for dinner, walked at the very flooded river a few times and of course went to Target several times. Seriously. I knew we went to Target a lot but then I realized that almost every time I call my mom (which is every night) we are at/going to/driving home from Target. My mom sent us a box this week. It was filled with pampered chef goodies, Easter baskets and just fun randomness.

Today we went and saw Bridesmaids. I bought two $4 movie tickets from Groupon so we went to the movies for $8. When we walked into the theater I was pleased to see that there were only two other people in there. Being an R rated movie I knew there wasn't going to be any kids and being a 1pm movie I hoped that it wasn't going to be busy. Then I realized that the two people were Blaine's dad and his wife Linda. What a coincidence right? Out of all of the movie theaters/movies in Vancouver we end up at the same one at the same time. After the movie Blaine and I went to an antique store and I bought owl salt and pepper shakers (yes now I have three different owl salt and pepper shakers). One reason that I bought them was because they match a cookie jar that I want that is at Anthropology. Tonight we picked Kenny up and went out for pizza at Blind Onion.

Crazy right? Now I have to get the cookie jar!

Whew. Caught up? I think so. It was supposed to rain two of the three days of our long weekend so we planned things to do inside and it ended up be really nice for most of today.

We don't really have anything going on this week... just that my cousin Jill is having a baby!!

I promise I will post about our Seattle trip tomorrow or Monday!!!

Katie who?

I know I know! It happened again. I've been absent. I just don't FEEL like being on the computer when I get home. Here are some pictures to catch you all up.

Oh Petunia, you are so cute

On Saturday Blaine and I went to Voodoo doughnut before going shopping for a gift for a wedding we are going to in a couple of weeks. We went to Crate and Barrel, The Container Store and Anthropology! Great day to say the least.. I find way too much in Anthro that I want need. Like a $128 owl cookie jar. I just neeeed it!

Yes that is oreo and peanut butter on my doughnut

Beautiful day at the river + Mt. Hood

It's official, I got my name plate
First pay check
I think that just about sums up my week. I've been working on '10 things' since Sunday, hopefully I'll post it before next week.

Seriously?

Tonight at Target:
Me- "Woah! Big bags of Easter M&M's are on sale for 72 cents! Is it bad that I'm getting 5 bags?"
Blaine- "Its okay, Bin Laden is dead"

fun/interesting/crazy fact:
Adolf Hitler's death was announced May 1st, 1945.

Enjelle and I went to her cousins bridal shower a few weekends ago and had to design a dress out of aluminum foil. We won :)

I'll try to blog more now that I'm settling into my new routine. We have some fun things coming up in the next few weeks and months. Our 8(what?!) year anniversary is this Thursday, Blaine's cousins wedding is in a few weeks, my cousin Jill is having her 3rd baby the beginning of June, Blaine's 25th birthday is at the end of June, Blaine bought me Backstreet Boys concert tickets for the beginning of July as an early birthday gift(!!!!!!!), Emily's and my 21st birthday's are in the middle of July, hopefully mom/Emily/anyone else will come visit this summer and of course camping.

First beach trip of the year

Last weekend Blaine and I went to Long Beach. It had seemed like FOREVER since we had been to the beach and we just couldn't wait any longer. It was a beautiful day, perfect for flying our Barbie and Batman kites and walking on the boardwalk. There are a bunch a cute shops, an off the wall free museum and go karts at Long Beach. The whole reason we went to Long Beach was to do go karts because Blaine really wanted to and the last time we went there it was raining so we didn't get to do them. I bought a sweatshirt and a really cool vintage tin before we left. Before we headed home we went to Cape Disappointment to go to the lighthouse. I can't wait to start going to the beach more and I really can't wait until we start going camping!

Tiny glimpse of Mt. St. Helens

Astoria bridge

Going up....

Nothing but water. Notice it says speed limit 55 and our speed is 37. The old people in front of us were going sooo slow. At one point they were going 60 then went back down to 30.

Going down

The beach at last! and a moon pie
